The well proven Stein Sohn vista® next auto­mation monitors and controls all essential functions for the safe and efficient operation of machinery and ship-board systems including propulsion, power plant, ballast control, monitoring bilge, transfer, cargo, etc.
 
The system has been designed with an innovative, scalable and flexible architecture for any size of application, incorporating multi-level redundancy.

It is controlled by an intuitive, user-friendly graphical visualization process that permits aggregation and presents information in real-time, which it turn improves decision-making processes and helps to mitigate risk.

The type approved automation system as well as the entire arrangement and installations are fully compliant with Class requirements for periodically “Unattended Machinery Spaces“ (UMS).

Remote Support via Augmented Reality*

Imagine if your systems failed in the middle of nowhere. What if you could make a designated member of your crew an immediate automation expert and so benefit from savings in time and travel costs?

We offer you smart glasses that allow hands-free communication via enhanced real-time audio and video channels. Our engineers can visually project important information via an augmented reality environment which provides your designated crew member with the information needed to solve the problem by himself.


Mobile SCADA Devices*

The engineer on duty sometimes needs location-independent information about engine status in order to react quickly to failures and increase his workflow efficiency.

Using our powerful remote and real time monitoring solutions you can oversee your engines whenever and wherever you are on board. We run our mobile solution on a high performance Windows 10 tablet with view-only access to our system.

Process Components

Extension Alarm System

The EXtension Alarm System (XAS) is an independent alarm system, which provides remote watch capability using field bus connectivity. Equipped with panels for the wheelhouse, engine control room, duty engineer’s day room with buzzer in bedroom and public rooms. It notifies the engineer on duty in case of alarms and abnormal conditions. The system is designed for Unattended Machinery Space (UMS) operation and includes duty indication, alarm groups, fire and system failure indication, engineer call and selective call.
