Since the ratification of the IMO Ballast Water Management (BWM) Convention, new-builds need treatment systems installed at delivery. On or after 8 September 2019, existing vessels will have to retrofit.

Integration of the Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) control into the Alarm and Monitoring System allows seamless operation and monitoring of the ballast system as a whole.

We offer the full integration or only alarm indication as well as the necessary modification of the existing process picture of Ballast Water Treatment System into your STEIN SOHN vista® automation system. The integration can either be realized as hardwired signals and/or as communication interfaces.


Since the STEIN SOHN camos® automation systems are technically outdated we stopped supporting them. Single spare parts might still be available for some time but we strongly recommend switching to another, more modern system.

In this context, we would like to offer you a retrofit to our well-known and type-approved STEIN SOHN vista® automation system.

We provide all services that are necessary for the retrofit which will be pre-configured before delivery and installed during drydocking or voyage.

Some of the benefits of vista® compared to camos® are listed below:
