At maresystems we are proud of our famous past. Our pioneering present-day portfolio builds on the experience of C. Wilh. Stein Sohn GmbH, the original measuring device company founded in Hamburg in 1878. As long ago as the early 1960s, C. Wilh. Stein Sohn was pioneering unmanned ship’s operational engine monitoring systems and has since grown to become a leading manufacturer with more than 10,000 automation systems installed worldwide. In 2007, H.M. Stein Sohn GmbH Automation was taken over by INTERSCHALT maritime systems AG and in 2014, maresystems acquired Interschalt's automation business.
